Hon. Alhassan Sulemana Tampuli, Deputy Minister for Transport and Member of Parliament

Hon. Alhassan Sulemana Tampuli is the Deputy Minister for Transport and Member of Parliament for the Gushegu Constituency

Educational Background

Mr. Hassan Tampuli is a graduate of the School of Administration of the University of Ghana (now University of Ghana Business School) and Faculty of Law, UG. He was called to the Ghana Bar in 2011. He holds a Master of Laws degree (LL.M) with subject concentration in Energy and Environmental law from the Moritz College of Law, at the Ohio State University, Columbus OH.

Professional Experience

Hon. Hassan Tampuli is the Deputy Minister for Transport and Member of Parliament for the Gushegu Constituency. Mr. Tampuli was Chief Executive of the National Petroleum Authority from February 2017 until January 2021. He co- founded the law firm Eastbridge Associates, a corporate law firm and worked there until his appointment as Chief Executive of the National Petroleum Authority.

He previously worked with the National Service Scheme and rose to the rank of Deputy Head of HR and Acting Director of Postings. He later set up and headed the Legal Department of the National Service Scheme between April 2014 and November 2015. Mr. Tampuli also worked with the prestigious law firm, Bentsi - Enchill, Letsa & Ankomah's Energy and Natural Resource Practice Group as an Associate.

Hon. Tampuli also taught constitutional law at the faculty of law of the Wisconsin International University College for the 2014/15 academic year before resigning to concentrate on his private legal practice.

He was a member of the Energy Sector Levy Act (ESLA) Bond Board of Directors as well as a member of the Board of Directors at Tizaa Rural bank in Gushegu in the Northern Region of Ghana.
