NPP Elects Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as Flagbearer for the 2028 Presidential Election

The New Patriotic Party has successfully concluded its presidential primaries, culminating in the election of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the Party’s Flag bearer for the 2028 general elections.

The primaries were conducted in a competitive, transparent, and orderly manner, reflecting the democratic maturity and institutional strength of the New Patriotic Party. NPP-USA congratulates Dr. Bawumia on this milestone and acknowledges the confidence reposed in him by party delegates.

NPP-USA also recognizes the contributions of all aspirants who participated in the contest, whose commitment to party democracy and robust exchange of ideas has strengthened the Party and positioned it for the work ahead.

As an external Branch of the New Patriotic Party, NPP-USA aligns with the Flag bearer-Elect’s call for unity, reconciliation, discipline, and inclusion as the Party transitions from contest to consolidation. The task ahead is collective: to reorganize, mobilize, and prepare decisively for victory in 2028.

The primaries are over. The work continues.
